July 4th in the Methow Valley

4th of July Parade in Twisp

Another Glover Street 4th of July parade begins at 11 am. It’s your chance to stand on the sidelines or join in! That’s me promoting recycling & the Annual Trashion Show!

Never experienced 4th of July in the Methow Valley? You’re in for a treat! Your love of a good old fashioned parade is irrelevant. Trust me, the July 4th Parade in Twisp is over in a blink! Most Methow Valley residents and visitors congregate on Glover Street in Twisp to catch up and make plans to meet at Arts Fest after the 4th of July Parade. Plan to have a bag or picnic basket for the kids to get lots of candy! There’s tons thrown out during the Independence Day Parade. Even dogs love July 4th in the Methow Valley — there are no fireworks!

Arts Fest at Twisp Park

Immediately following the 4th of July Parade is ArtsFest. Entertainment, hands-on art making booths, food & drink. Sign up for the pie eating contest and so much more!

Methow Arts Alliance has been bringing ArtsFest to the Valley on July 4th for nearly 35 years. It’s where I started volunteering when we first began visiting here and a place where I began many friendships. It’s a great spot to bring the family with plenty of shade, food offerings, and hands on art making booth for kids of all ages. Our friends at Old Schoolhouse Brewing set up a beer garden. Fork Food Truck and other local restaurants provide some great food options too. The festivities end at 4 pm so if you have plans later, don’t sweat it, you’ll make it there too!
