Happy New Year from the Methow Valley!

New Year Greetings from the beautiful Methow Valley!

Snow is falling but the sun is peaking out as the Methow Valley welcomes 2020! Therefore I’d like to take just a bit of time to share a few selections on the past year.

During the past holiday week, I ran into a friend at Barnyard Cinema. She had been trying explain to her two young boys the world wide belief that computers would crash during Y2K. As a result, we had a good laugh at the ideas we all had 20 years ago. I’d like to think we’ve come a long way after that.

Reflections on 2019 as I head into the New Year…

As I look back on the past year, I am so grateful for the time I got to spend with family and friends. As a result, I enjoyed the beauty of the Valley and also got to take a few amazing trips out of the Methow. As a result of traveling, I’m always reminded of how lucky we are to live here!

For instance, 2019 started with a quick trip with a good friend to see Lady Gaga in Las Vegas. My sister-in-law and cousin happened to be there for the same show! The four of us had a memorable time. The rest of the winter was spent skiing on our beautiful trails. Once again, I enjoyed group ski classes with Kevin Van Bueren and the team at Methow Valley Nordic.

Brian and I took a relaxing vacation to Hawaii in March. The chance to stay in Waikiki for a few days provides the chance to enjoy the pied-a-terre offerings. In addition to Oauhu, we stayed on Maui at Mama’s Fish House, too. But when we returned to the Methow Valley, we got in more skiing!

Travel and Discovery

Further into spring, I connected with 3 childhood friends in Napa Valley. It had been 5 years since we seen each other as a result we spent the entire weekend laughing and reminiscing.

Fall wrapped up with a trip to New York City. A trip filled with culture, good food, tons of art, Broadway shows, and walking until our legs ached. Our return home reminded me how lucky we are to live in the Methow Valley. The noise of New York City got to be too much!

After all the travel, Brian and I spent the holidays relaxing at home. During this quiet time, Brian has had time back in his art studio and I’ve had time to unwind from the amazing year I spent with so many of you!

Meanwhile, I got to help folks like you!

Throughout the year I had the chance to help people. I love getting to know so many people and their families and friends. It’s an absolute thrill to help you find or sell your property. Thank you for welcoming me into your lives!

May the New Year bring you and yours much happiness and good health! Hope our paths cross soon!
